Highland Folk Museum

The whole school had a fabulous trip to the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore. The weather was kind to us and it allowed us to make the most of this open-air museum.

Everyone was fully engaged in finding out how things were back in "the old days" and enjoyed the hands-on activities. The phone box with the bakelite telephone and the A and B box (if anyone can remember those!) was a real fascination for this technological generation. There was so much to do and we ran out of time. However, time was left to visit the 1930's sweet shop for a quarter of sweets. What a choice!! A real trip down memory lane for "the oldies".
